Kumbha Mela is the largest spiritual gathering of yogis in the world, held every three years in one of the four rotating locations: Hardwar, Allahabad, Nasik and Ujjain. Everyone comes to bathe in this highly spiritual atmosphere where the vibration of the sacred is at its peak. Some ascetics practice rites of planetary protection day and night, while others transmit lessons jealously guarded in lineages that are met only on the occasion of this celebration, which reflects the very essence of the ancient culture of yoga, millennia old.
